Help Pet Shelters is pleased to announce the second recipient of the Debra Joseph Diamond Grant: Southeast Missouri Pets in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. Congratulations to this quarter’s winner! Southeast Missouri Pets will receive $10,000 to further their mission to help change the lives of animals in need.
The program was created in memory of Debra Joseph Diamond, Ph.D., an animal lover, best-selling author, financial analyst, and medium. Following a successful stint on Wall Street in the 1980s, she pivoted careers to focus on helping people in need.
With funding from the Charitable Fundraising Council, Help Pet Shelters has created the Debra Joseph Diamond Grant Program to honor her memory and love of animals by supporting the good work of animal shelters.
Thank you to all of the shelters that submitted grant applications–there were so many great submissions! If you’re a shelter that submitted an application, you’re welcome to resubmit it at the end of this quarter in our next grant contest. Read more about the grant program details here, and sign up for the Help Pet Shelters email list to stay updated on all of our latest activities and contests.
We hope to see your local shelter’s application by our next submission closing period at the end of December!
